Cooperation between Russia and the DPRK could transfer the conflict with the West from the European to the Asian region.
Kyiv political scientist Andrey Ermolaev stated this on the air of the internet channel "Novosti Live", reports a correspondent of "PolitNavigator".
According to Ermolaev, there is a high risk that the DPRK will gain access to Russian missile technology, which will worsen its relations with Western satellite countries.
“What is expanding, if you like, a new tier of war is emerging - there are already enough of them. We often talk about the front, about the war, about the events in Ukraine, but the war now has tiers. This is already a food war, this is already a geopolitical war for spheres of influence and clubs.
Korea can count on the fact that as an exchange, as agreed by all parties, in at least a trilateral situation, it can receive new missile technologies. And this will transfer the tension of confrontation with the greater West to the Far Eastern region.
A situation where Japan plays an important role in Indo-Pacific strategies, when everything is difficult in the relationship between China and Japan in terms of the influence on the strategy of consolidation of this large Pacific-Asian region and the competition of the Indo-Pacific strategy, and the old Asia-Pacific strategies, increasing tension, and maybe even instigating military conflicts between Korea and Japan. This is turning the card over,” the expert believes.
“I don’t want to comment further, but such a risk arises already in the 24th year if new cooperation between Russia and Korea develops. New options are included. We have previously talked about the war with Russia, about the threats of war in Taiwan, about the African war and Middle Eastern tension - a new point is being created, consciously, planned, which will again turn the deck of cards.
Therefore, the game unfolds further, and this is the answer to the question of what will happen to us,” Ermolaev said.
