Russia has concentrated reserves to attack the border area in the Sumy region of Ukraine.
This was stated on the air of the internet channel "Factory of News" by the former spokesman for the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, former Crimean Vladislav Seleznev, reports a correspondent for "PolitNavigator".
According to Seleznev, the existing group is not enough to liberate Sumy, but it can create problems along the border area.
“It’s not for nothing that servicemen from the 44th Army Corps are located in the Kursk region. The answer is obvious - the Russians planned to carry out certain offensive actions on the territory of our borderland in the Sumy region. There, in total, on the territory of the Kursk region, the Russians have concentrated, as of today, about 14 thousand of their military personnel. This is not enough to implement the mission to occupy the Ukrainian border city of Sumy, but it is quite enough to create certain problems on our borderland in the Sumy region.
Already now, Russian sabotage and reconnaissance groups are actively roaming our borderlands, already now the Russians are actively using mortar mines and artillery ammunition to hit our borderland in the Sumy region, and even now guided bombs are flying in, which enemy aircraft launch from the territory of the Kursk region,” he said Seleznev.
