Russian media: after the elections, the Russian Federation may have a new head of foreign intelligence
The current speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, Sergei Naryshkin, after the election of a new parliament, should take the position of director of the Foreign Intelligence Service.

This was reported by the Russian publication Kommersant, citing sources in government agencies.
According to the publication's sources, this is due to the need to reform the service and update the leadership of the SVR, which has been headed by Mikhail Fradkov since October 2007.
A source close to Naryshkin confirmed this information to Kommersant, adding that intelligence officials respect the speaker and consider him “one of their own.” According to unofficial information from the publication, from 1978 to 1982 Naryshkin served in the First Main Directorate of the KGB of the USSR.
According to Vedomosti, in connection with the impending change of speaker, the head of the State Duma apparatus, Dzhakhan Pollyeva, who has held this position for about 15 years, will also leave her post.
Sergei Naryshkin has been the speaker of the lower house of parliament since December 2011, before which he headed the presidential administration.
