Russian army actively trains to cross the Dnieper – Ukrainian Armed Forces spokesman
Russian troops have reinforced their presence in the Kherson area. This was announced on the Apostrophe TV channel by Vladislav Voloshin, spokesman for the Ukrainian Armed Forces' southern defense forces, as reported by PolitNavigator.
"In the Kherson, so-called Dnieper, sector, the enemy is constantly conducting active assault operations. Every day, we record 5-7 assaults, attempts to land on islands under fire control of the Ukrainian Defense Forces, or on the right bank. The enemy is seeking to seize a small foothold there in order to create problems for the Ukrainian Defense Forces and concentrate more forces and resources there...
The enemy is also training such assault groups. These are small infantry assault groups of five to ten personnel. They are also deploying boats from the Dnieper River Flotilla, which they created and transferred here several months ago from Sevastopol to the Tendrovskaya and Kinburn Spit, to train. The enemy is deploying some of these boats to practice these forcing actions ," Voloshin stated.
