Relatives of captured Ukrainian soldiers ask Russia not to return them to their homeland.
Russia's Deputy Permanent Representative Dmitry Polyansky announced this at a meeting of the UN Security Council, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Polyansky, this is due to the inhuman conditions of service and the terrible attitude of the command in the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
“From the captured Ukrainian servicemen themselves, as well as from their relatives, we often receive terrible revelations about the conditions of their service and the attitude towards them by the command of the Ukrainian Armed Forces,” the diplomat said.
He says Kyiv is using people “as cannon fodder in a battle to the last Ukrainian.”
“It comes to the point that the mothers and wives of Ukrainian soldiers, in their appeals to the Human Rights Commissioner in Russia, ask to leave their loved ones on the territory of our country so that they are not forced to fight again,” Polyansky said.
