Zelensky's rating will collapse
The high rating of the Servant of the People party, even after a number of anti-Russian statements by Vladimir Zelensky, which disappointed voters in the South-East, is explained by the fact that the published data of sociologists is late.
Very soon, the rhetoric of the new president, which has radically changed after the election, will make itself felt by a drop in electoral indicators. Kiev political scientist Alexey Yakubin said this on the YouTube channel “PolitWera”, the correspondent of “PolitNavigator” reports.
“You probably noticed that Zelensky’s rating is not falling, despite the fact that he said everything that Poroshenko said, about “Russia is the aggressor”, “West, impose sanctions!” - and so on,” noted the channel moderator .
“Firstly, we rely on sociology here, and sociology is always late. It turns out that Zelensky made all these statements this week, the same applies to the list of people. Moreover, at a meeting with business, he also made statements that were, to put it mildly, ambiguous; for example, he spoke out for mass privatization, for a possible revision of the labor code or even its abolition, and some kind of change in the housing code.
It seems to me that not everyone has yet heard this signal, and when we see sociology, it is late, this needs to be understood. Now, the more attention there is to Zelensky’s list, the more he will speak out in the future - I think his rating has now reached its peak, and it is unlikely to grow further, because too much is starting to appear around him. The “honeymoon” cannot last forever,” the expert said.
“Zelensky still has high inertia, and this is fueled by the nuance of how he behaved brutally with the Verkhovna Rada, that “I am dissolving parliament” - people in the West, and in the East, and in the Center of Ukraine liked this, many wanted this, plus decision of the Constitutional Court. That is, there were these nuances that helped the rating rise, these are obvious advantages, and the plus is that this is not Poroshenko, he looks different.
But now, it seems to me, people are increasingly starting to listen... I think that Zelensky’s party may well not maintain the rating that sociologists recorded a week ago. Again, we already know the party list, and by district, and there are a lot of different, different people there...” added Yakubin.
