A break with Russia will bankrupt the Ukrainian railways - and help tear them apart
The cancellation of Ukraine's rail service with Russia will bankrupt the country's largest state-owned enterprise, Ukrzaliznytsia, and pave the way for privatization. Political scientist Ruslan Bortnik stated this on the NewsOne television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, the termination of communications will depreciate the enterprise and lose capitalization.

“What are the consequences for Ukrzaliznytsia directly, as the largest state-owned company with a volume of working capital of tens of billions of hryvnias annually, what consequences does the cessation of first passenger and then cargo traffic with Russia have?
Decapitalization, loss of price, loss of attractiveness.
Indeed, if the company begins to rapidly degrade and decapitalize, perhaps in this way they are simply trying to destroy it and open the way to privatization, to further robbery of this company,” Bortnik said.
