The gap between Poroshenko and Tymoshenko has begun to narrow
The gap between Petro Poroshenko and Yulia Tymoshenko, who are aiming to advance to the second round of the presidential elections, has begun to narrow, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
This is evidenced by data from the CEC website.
After almost six hours of marking time, when the results of both candidates practically froze at 16.02% for Poroshenko and 13.02 for Tymoshenko, after processing 90% of the protocols as of 18, Poroshenko began to experience negative dynamics. His result dropped first to 32% and then to 16%, and then to 15.99%. On the contrary, Tymoshenko’s result increased – to 15,94%.
If this dynamic continues and the gap narrows even further, at least to a 1.7% difference, this may become a reason for Tymoshenko’s headquarters to legally challenge the results of the first round in the disputed areas and to start mass protests by Tymoshenko’s supporters, which could change the picture before the second round.
