Kyiv, September 11 (PolitNavigator, Kirill Boyarin) – Donetsk and Lugansk, occupied by pro-Russian rebels, will be surrounded and deprived of funding from the state budget of Ukraine, so that local residents will feel all the delights of independence.
Verkhovna Rada deputy from Batkivshchyna Vladimir Ariev told Navigator about this.

“Since Donbass has chosen the paradigm of conquest of the Russian world, and aggression and anti-Ukrainian actions come from there, in this case the first thing that can help us avoid tens of thousands of victims is to remain “with our own people.” In the current conditions, both sides are not particularly capable of continuing the war for territory. There has been more than one similar situation in history, and the special status leaves the possibility of at least some contact with those who will be elected in local elections in these territories under the control of the OSCE in order to build a certain bridge.
But in this case, I will personally do everything to ensure that those territories that want to continue to remain under the leadership of terrorist groups do not receive any funds from the budget. I think that if they think that they can govern themselves and demand independence, then let them have this independence in full, including financial. Where they will get the money is their problem.
As for protective structures, they are necessary because armed terrorist groups are located there. Therefore, engineering structures will be of a defensive nature so that sabotage groups do not continue their offensive,” the people’s deputy argues.
