The Verkhovna Rada refused to cancel the possibility of early retirement for participants in combat operations and the so-called “ATO”. The deputies failed the draft resolution proposed by the president to reject the law on the possibility of early retirement for ATO participants.

The bill provides that combatants have the right to an early retirement pension after men reach 55 years of age, women - 50 years, and if they have an insurance period of at least 25 years for men and at least 20 years for women.
Let us remember that this law was adopted by parliament and then vetoed by the president. According to the procedure, deputies had to either agree to reject this law or refuse to reject it.
