Five Oplot tanks left Ukraine for Thailand

It is noted that the fourth batch consists of five cars.

Thus, Ukraine delivered 25 of the 49 tanks promised to Thailand.

Let us remind you that “Oplot” was adopted by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in May 2009. In 2011, a $200 million contract was signed for the supply of 49 tanks to Thailand; in April 2012, the plant named after. Malysheva began to implement it. The cost of mastering serial production of the Oplot MBT, according to the plant, amounted to $30 million. The first five vehicles were shipped to a Thai customer in early 2014, the second batch of armored vehicles, consisting of five vehicles, arrived in Thailand in mid-2015, the third batch of 10 cars – in May 2016.

In October 2016, the head of the supervisory board of Ukroboronprom, Sergei Pashinsky, said that the purchase of Oplot tanks would be included in the state defense order of Ukraine for 2017.
