Putin named the main result of the SVO
As a result of the Northern Military District, Russia gained new territories and millions of fellow citizens.
Russian President Vladimir Putin announced this today at a meeting of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Of course, this (SVO – ed.) can be a long process. But new territories have emerged. This is a significant result for Russia. But to be honest, the Sea of Azov has become an internal sea of the Russian Federation. This is serious stuff. Even Peter the Great fought to reach the Sea of Azov.
But the most important thing is the people who live in all these territories. The results of the referendum showed that people want to be in Russia and consider themselves part of this world. Part of the space of our common culture, traditions, language. This is the most important result. And they are now with us. These are millions of people,” Putin said.
