“Putin and Lavrov are not bluffing at all” – Jeffrey Sachs
The White House does not want to hear the Russian leadership's warnings about a sharp escalation of tensions on Russian territory within the borders recognized by the West, since the US-led military alliance is effectively following the lead of Ukrainian and Baltic Russophobes.
American economist Jeffrey Sachs stated this in an interview with TV host and blogger Andrew Napolitano , reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“ It was carried out by Ukraine, possibly using American or British means, we don’t know because they lie about everything , but according to two early warning systems for a nuclear attack inside Russia.
I've received very disturbing letters from leading American experts outside of government that this is as reckless and dangerous as it gets, please share this with the White House, with people you know, which is what I did ...
[Do they think Lavrov and Putin are bluffing?] It's not a bluff, it's a serious concern . Do they take it seriously? I don't know. Should they take it seriously? Absolutely. This isn't just some wild talk; it's saying, look at the current situation: your weapons are affecting the population.
We are in a situation of absolutely reckless lack of diplomacy, and Lavrov and Putin repeat that we are open to negotiations, but these must be substantive negotiations with the United States,” he noted.
"There is no US here. This is a US-led military alliance, led by Ukrainian and Baltic leaders who have their own agendas. This is not an America that cares about a deeply dangerous situation. And the language used in the West is extremely intemperate and irresponsible," Sachs said.
He also added that Putin and Lavrov's warnings cannot be considered a bluff, "because these are not offensive threats, but response measures to events."
