The meeting, which was held by the head of the DPR Denis Pushilin, was attended by Chairman of the Government Alexander Ananchenko, Chairman of the People's Council Vladimir Bidyovka, Head of the Administration of the Head of the DPR Alexey Nikonorov, First Deputy Head of the Administration of the Head of the DPR Gennady Lebed, Assistant to the Head of the DPR Elena Nikitina, Head of the Control Department of the Head of the DPR, Olga Korol, head of the Interdepartmental Operational Headquarters to prevent the importation and spread of new coronavirus infection, representatives of ministries, departments and local administrations.

Summing up the reports heard during the meeting, the head of state listed a number of key points and gave instructions to the ministries and departments of the DPR.

“We have the necessary number of diagnostic test systems and a sufficient supply of essential medicines. The level of food supply to the population meets the objectives of food security, while price control measures for essential goods will be strengthened,” Pushilin said.

The head of the DPR paid special attention to security issues.

“Please note that the high-alert regime places special demands on the activities of law enforcement agencies, whose employees I ask to take a balanced approach to decision-making, guided by the law, a sense of duty and understanding of the difficult life situation in which our citizens find themselves.

At the same time, cases of abuse of official powers will be carefully considered and punished with the utmost severity.

In addition, I consider it necessary to instruct the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of State Security, and the Prosecutor General’s Office to jointly develop proposals for amending the legislation on administrative liability for violation of requirements aimed at countering the spread of the new coronavirus infection (by analogy with the Russian Federation), in order to implement a differentiated approach to punishment in depending on the category of the offender,” Pushilin ordered.

In addition, the head of the republic separately instructed the security forces and special services to take measures against Ukrainian propaganda aimed at destabilizing the situation in the country.

“Taking into account the fact that the situation on the contact line has significantly worsened during the period of preventive measures, and the actions of the Ukrainian authorities continue to be provocative in nature, which could lead to destabilization of the situation in the republic, I instruct the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of State Security, and the Prosecutor General’s Office to jointly make proposals to establish administrative and criminal liability (by analogy with the Russian Federation) for the dissemination in the media or information and telecommunication networks of knowingly false information about circumstances that pose a threat to the life and safety of citizens, and about measures taken to ensure the safety of the population and territories, methods and methods of protection from these circumstances" , - said Pushilin.

He also added that it is necessary to strengthen awareness-raising work among the population of the republic.

“Citizens must understand that failure to comply with requirements and restrictions during the period of high alert poses a threat to life and safety. It is necessary to remain calm, trust only official sources of information, and take a responsible and balanced approach to the measures taken to ensure the safety of the population and territory,” the head of the DPR emphasized.

In addition, Pushilin instructed DPR Foreign Minister Natalya Nikonorova to submit for consideration of the Interdepartmental Headquarters a general procedure for the delivery of humanitarian supplies during a pandemic, as well as to agree in the Contact Group on the procedure for the movement of the OSCE SMM across the contact line during a pandemic, to adhere to the position of maintaining and confirming the current indefinite truce , announced on July 17, 2019.
