According to a PolitNavigator correspondent , Yuriy Bereza, commander of the Ukrainian Dnipro-1 battalion and a candidate for the new Rada on the list of the Yatsenyuk-Turchynov People's Front party, made this statement at a press conference in Kyiv. He declined to discuss the topic of elections in the DPR and LPR, which was announced in the press conference announcements.
"Let's talk about elections in psychiatric hospitals in Kyiv, Dnipro, or Vinnytsia," the battalion commander suggested. "If elections were held there… For example, elections were held on Sunday in Igrena ( a district in Dnipro where the regional psychiatric hospital is located – ed. ). What the results, what the consequences are – it's all the same thing."
According to the newly appointed people's deputy, it is better for him to talk about the elections in the hospital on Igren, “because it is closer to Dnepropetrovsk.”
“And what happened yesterday in Donetsk and Lugansk is, I think, a statement of the diagnosis of how sick our society is because we are discussing something that does not exist,” Bereza concluded. – Elections, if they took place, were without choice. To comment on the misfortune that was happening... There can be no choice at gunpoint.”
