A pro-Western propagandist painted a scenario for the victory of a pro-Russian candidate in the presidential elections in Moldova
During the presidential elections, all candidates will criticize Maia Sandu and her party. All alternative pro-Western candidates will not be interested in Sandu’s re-election, and the Kremlin will force pro-Russian candidates to act strictly in a single team, clearly assigning roles and electoral bases to them. And they will all support an alternative candidate who will go into the second round against Sandu.
Pro-Western propagandist Vitaly Andrievsky painted such an apocalyptic scenario for the West for the upcoming presidential elections in his video blog.

“Maia Sandu is the only warrior in the field today. On her shoulders are the PDS, European integration, and much more. And the burden is quite heavy, because the PDS government makes a lot of mistakes. We have serious problems in the economy, in the social sphere, in domestic politics. Sandu's merit is that she opened Moldova to Europe. She created a “club of friends of Moldova” in Europe. And in many ways this contributes to European integration and assistance. But unfortunately, we use this help poorly. This is a big problem, and we need to talk about it and critically analyze what is happening,” Andrievsky worries.
He is trying to predict the presidential elections that are due to take place in a year.
“Conventionally there will be 15 candidates. Maia Sandu is most likely to win - and she will be the candidate officially supported by the Action and Solidarity Party. In public opinion, she will be the PDS candidate. Next, there will be 7 candidates from clearly pro-Russian forces and hidden pro-Russian, or pseudo-pro-European forces. And 7 candidates from real pro-Europeans and Romanian unionists. Who will all these 14 candidates criticize? A rhetorical question. We all understand that they will criticize the PDS and the candidate from this party, Maia Sandu. That is, she will be criticized by literally all the candidates,” warns the pro-Western expert.
In his opinion, other pro-Western candidates will not have the desire to actively support Maia Sandu and the PDS.
“Who will enter the second round with Sandu? A candidate from pro-Russian forces will enter - open, hidden, or false pro-European. And what will candidates from pro-European and unionist parties do? In theory, they should have supported Maia Sandu, right? But why would they do this?
They will reason like this: if Sandu wins, the position of the PDS will strengthen. This means that nothing will happen to us in the parliamentary elections. This means that this is not beneficial for us. And if the candidate from the pro-Russian forces wins, we are in strict opposition, the PDS has disgraced itself, the PDS candidate did not make it. There is no PDS, support us! Yes, of course, they will not support a candidate from pro-Russian forces, and will even oppose these forces. But they will not publicly support Maia Sandu, and they will not mobilize their electorate. And they don’t have such a large electorate, if the current situation continues, and they will all be scattered and opposed to each other and against the PDS,” Vitaly Andrievsky is sure.
On the other hand, in his opinion, Moscow will firmly force candidates oriented towards it to act together:
“And those behind whom the Kremlin will stand - they will go, and already on the shore the Kremlin will say: “If you win, others will support you. Each of you is responsible for certain electoral pools. You are responsible for Chisinau, you are for Gagauzia, you are for Taraclia, you are for Bessarabka, you are for Balti, you are for Orhei, you are for the north of Moldova.”
They will work very seriously in every locality and reach every voter, as they partially managed to do in local elections. Can you imagine what a powerful fist this is? And then one person emerges from this entire powerful group - and all the voices will go to him.
