The failure of “Ukrop” in Dnepropetrovsk: without money and administrative resources, Korban and Filatov have almost no supporters
Only a couple of hundred people came to Dnepropetrovsk on August 24, to a rally organized by Boris Filatov and Gennady Korban’s “Ukrop” party.

Despite the fact that light boxes advertising the procession were hung all over the central streets of Dnepropetrovsk on Saturday, the rally did not find support among the townspeople.
The gathering was organized under the walls of the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration. The first to arrive were young people in camouflage uniforms with Right Sector symbols.
“Good evening, Sicheslav - Dnepr,” one of the “ukropov” began the rally. “What Sicheslav?” - someone in the crowd was indignant. The protesters’ attempts to chant the “new” name of Dnepropetrovsk, in their opinion, did not find approval even among their supporters - no one supported the “chant”, so Korban-Filatov’s supporters limited themselves to the usual set of slogans,” the publication writes.
Ukrop activists marched from the Dnepropetrovsk Regional State Administration to the European Square. The townspeople walking around the center on a holiday did not at all want to join the “dill” procession. More than three dozen police officers kept order.
“Despite quite active advertising both on the streets and on social networks, the Dill campaign did not find support among the residents of Dnepropetrovsk. They once again tried to use patriotic rhetoric and the occasion - Independence Day - to denigrate their opponents. However, the fact that people openly ignored the action, preferring peaceful, non-political events on the holiday, once again proves that Dnepropetrovsk is tired of Maidan radicalism and empty slogans,” says Dnepropetrovsk political scientist Andrey Klyachin.
In his opinion, the failure of the “Ukrop” campaign shows that without the use of administrative resources or money, Korban and Filatov have almost no real supporters.
