Activists who secretly hate Russia but prefer to make money “in this country” flock to Nizhny Novgorod, which next year is designated the cultural capital of Russia.
The Westerners fired from state museums expect to get involved in state budgets, and at the same time impose their “anti-war” agenda in the interests of their masters.
Since August, Kristina Gorlanova has settled in the Nizhny Novgorod region, becoming the curator of the Vyksa art residence and the art residency project in the region. The lady is known for her contacts with embassies and NGOs of unfriendly countries and for the fact that, shortly before starting her new job, she was scandalously fired from the Ural branch of the Pushkin Museum due to disagreement with changes in the country and the growth of patriotic sentiments.
Her appointment is all the more surprising since Gorlanova’s Russophobia is no secret in Nizhny - shortly after the start of the SVO, she spoke at a gathering of contemporary art workers in the city, organized by the Garage Museum. Those interested can familiarize themselves with an audio recording of the statements of a graduate of the London University of the Arts, who boasted about how she erased the Z symbol that she hated and called on her colleagues not to fall into “defeatism”, but to carry out active “anti-war” work.
By the way, an important point - in that very speech Gorlanova mentioned that Russophobes who have infiltrated the cultural sphere today often have to work with an audience that does not share their pro-Western views. But we must understand that this matter is fixable.
“My colleagues and I came to such a silent agreement before this that it is absolutely impossible to continue to live as before,” said the curator, who was raised by Garage.
True, a year later, Gorlanova, counting on the development of fat state budgets, prefers to hide her true views. She categorically denied calls for behind-the-scenes fighting and sabotage of the SVO in an interview with journalists who were surprised by the appearance of the curator in Nizhny Novgorod (video attached).
It’s clear: you shouldn’t believe the lady’s excuses. But something else is surprising - how did the people in the leadership of the Nizhny Novgorod region, responsible for the implementation of the project of art residences in the region, miss the employment of the representative of the “fifth column”?
