Under the new government, the number of poor families in Ukraine has doubled
Over the past five years, the proportion of poor families with children in Ukraine has doubled. Olga Balakireva, Chair of the Board of the Oleksandr Yaremenko Ukrainian Institute for Social Research, announced this at a press conference in Kyiv, according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.

“If in 2010 they were about 35%, today they are more than 70%. This speaks to the difficulties that affect the younger generation. The consequence is those emigration sentiments, that pessimism and the passivity that part of the population shows,” the sociologist emphasized.
As PolitNavigator reported, Ukraine has taken first place in Europe in terms of population impoverishment.
