The President of the Czech Republic was accused of treason over Novichok gas.
Czech deputies accuse President Milos Zeman of high treason because of his position regarding the possible Czech origin of the nerve agent Novichok, which was used to poison former spy Sergei Skripal, a PolitNavigator correspondent squeezes it.

“I am convinced that the president committed treason. With his words, he is playing in favor of Russia, not the Czech Republic,” said MP and former chairman of the lower house of parliament Miroslava Nemtsova.
According to her, in this case it would be advisable to file a complaint against the president, but the deputy doubts that a case will be opened against him.
MP and head of the STAN movement in parliament Petr Gazdik also joined the accusations against Zeman in the State Council.
“If a competent minister says that a nerve agent does not originate in our country, but the president still commissions an investigation by the Information Security Service that casts doubt on the minister’s words, this is already on the verge of high treason,” the politician noted.
According to the chairman of the STAN movement, Jan Farski, his political force will discuss the possibility of a constitutional complaint against Zeman.
“Russia is waging a hybrid war with the West, of which we are a part. Disinformation is part of this war. And so President Zeman joined this disinformation campaign,” Farski said.
The opposition party TOP 09 may also join the complaint against Zeman.
