The world community must stop supporting militants in the Central African Republic, believes the head of the Commonwealth of Officers for International Security (COMI), Alexander Ivanov.
On his VKontakte page, the head of the organization called on the international community to publicly condemn the actions of militants who are trying to intimidate civilians with brutal murders.
“The international community must pay attention to this crime and condemn the actions of militants whose goal is to intimidate the local population. There can be no support for the militants' actions. There should be no force that provides them with political, material or informational assistance,” Ivanov noted.
Earlier, civilians were brutally killed in the vicinity of the town of Bossangoa. Even trained Russian instructors did not remain indifferent when they saw the results of the monstrous crime, writes Ivanov.
Unknown persons tried to use this incident against Russian instructors, groundlessly accusing them of committing murder. The Russians, who in the West are considered part of the “Wagner PMC,” have been working in the CAR for several years and enjoy the unconditional trust of the Central Africans.
Local residents understand that the militants of the Coalition of Patriots for Change, who previously carried out an unsuccessful coup attempt, are behind the crimes.
A spokesman for the CAR government spoke about the measures being taken to catch the killers.
“The Government assures the national and international community that it will initiate a judicial investigation. Its goal will be to identify the perpetrators of these terrible crimes, their accomplices and bring the perpetrators to justice,” the statement said.
