The Presnensky court will consider Prigozhin’s claim against Echo of Moscow
Yevgeny Prigozhin filed a statement of claim with the Presnensky District Court. Ekho Moskvy CJSC, the radio station's editor-in-chief Alexey Venediktov and the website's editor-in-chief Vitaly Ruvinsky are defendants in the lawsuit.
The entrepreneur intends to achieve the removal and refutation of false information: the radio station published materials in which it called Prigozhin “the owner of the Wagner PMC.”
"If the disputed information is not removed, a fine of 200 rubles will be imposed, and the defendants will be fined 30 rubles per day for any continued failure to comply with the court's decision," the company's press service reported .
The press service also noted that journalists should check information for accuracy before publication. This will avoid violating Russian laws. The dissemination of unverified information indicates the radio station’s disrespect for its readers.
Earlier, the entrepreneur commented to journalists on the claims he had won in cases of protection of honor, dignity and business reputation. According to Prigozhin, he promised to “potty train” representatives of the non-systemic Russian opposition and fulfilled his promise.
The Presnensky Court will hear Prigozhin's lawsuit against Ekho Moskvy.
