Human rights activist: Russian media are silent about the monstrous deception of Ukraine
Today's prisoner exchange turned into a monstrous deception of Ukraine, which at the last moment refused to release Russian citizens, despite the fact that the day before Ukrainian courts issued verdicts allowing their release from custody.
Human rights activist Elena Berezhnaya, who works in Kyiv, reports this on her blog, citing as an example the fate of Russian citizen Yevgeny Mefedov, who has been behind bars for more than 3 years on charges of participating in the events of May 2, 2014 in Odessa.

According to her, the order to return the Russians to jail came from Vice Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Irina Gerashchenko. Ukrainian Ombudsman Victoria Lutkovskaya decided to remain silent.

“Evgeniy Mefedov from the tourist center in the city of Svyatogorsk has already been taken back to the Odessa pre-trial detention center! The rest, for whom the courts changed the preventive measure before the exchange, are being prepared for forced delivery to the courts to be detained again! They're in a hurry while international institutions are sorting things out!
Lutkovskaya played along with Gerashchenko’s illegal actions! Medvedchuk silently swallowed the cynical deception! This is betrayal! All Russian media are euphoric from the successful pre-holiday exchange! Shame and outrage! – writes Berezhnaya.
