Repetition of Tbilisi 2008: an American military plane with special forces and weapons arrived in Chisinau

An American military transport plane C-17 arrived in Chisinau with 35 military personnel on board. This information was confirmed by the US Embassy on its official account.

According to the official version, the plane arrived to support the Peace Shield military exercises, in which Moldova has been participating since 2009. 35 American military personnel, according to the American embassy, ​​are soldiers of the North Carolina State Guard and the US Air Force, which, together with the National Army of Moldova, will practice “response tactics necessary to ensure the safety of Moldovan citizens in the event of emergency situations.”

It is also reported that the plane delivered medical equipment, which will be transferred to the Moldovan side as part of grant assistance.
