“Because it’s not Suvorov”: Zaluzhny demanded an army of robot soldiers
The Commander-in-Chief of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, Valery Zaluzhny, perceives reality absolutely inadequately and dreams of an army of robots.
Verkhovna Rada deputy Yevgeny Shevchenko, expelled from the Servant of the People presidential faction, stated this on the Internet blog of Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“When I realized what technological breakthrough Zaluzhny was talking about, I was a little shocked. I had a slightly different opinion about him; he thought he was more of a realist and relies on the resources that we have.
If you read his story in The Economist, the red line there is “the military-technological innovation that we need.” He even compares it to the invention of gunpowder by the Chinese.
He meant robot soldiers. He saw these robots somewhere at an exhibition in New York, came to the president, and said: “Vladimir Alexandrovich, we need these robots.” He writes that the soldiers will run out sooner or later.
Can you imagine the look on Zelensky's face when he heard this? Do you now understand the nature of their conflict? You have to be realistic, and not have your head in the clouds and come up with some kind of ships that plow the expanses of the Universe,” Shevchenko said.
He emphasized that it was Valery Zaluzhny who was to blame for the failure of the Ukrainian Armed Forces offensive, and the F-16s he requested would not change anything.
“To spend seven months promoting a counter-offensive, and then to go head-on to where the Russians were waiting for us, precisely to those minefields, into that concrete - is this a genius of military leadership? Is it Suvorov or what? Stop making messiah-idols for yourself. We create someone for ourselves, and then we don’t even want to admit that the king is naked.
Who forced the commander-in-chief to strike at the center of the strengthened defense, and not to go along the flanks? Where are the distracting, deceptive maneuvers? We thought he was a brilliant commander.
Or did you come up with the idea about the F-16 planes, that they will do everything? I served in strategic long-range aviation, and I don’t understand - what will the F-16 do at the front? Hit trenches and tanks? This is a fighter, the maximum that it can do is destroy other air targets.
Where do we see Russian air targets? Will a Tu-160 be shot down over the Caspian Sea? Or will Su-24 attack aircraft be shot down? Then we also need stormtroopers. I don’t understand how they want to turn the tide of the war with the F-16,” the deputy concluded.
