Having lost Crimea and Donbass, Poroshenko felt an unprecedented unity of Ukraine
Kyiv, October 25 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Petro Poroshenko claims that Ukraine is experiencing an attack of patriotism and unity unprecedented in all the years of independence.
The head of state stated this on Savik Shuster’s talk show, appearing on television despite the declared “day of silence” before the parliamentary elections.

“The country is consolidated like never before. The country is more patriotic than ever. In the end, I would thank Russia. Never in the 23 years of its existence has Ukraine been so united. During the Ukrainian anthem in every corner of the country, people stood up and there were tears in their eyes,” Poroshenko said.
“This gives very serious reasons for optimism. Our enemies hoped that Ukraine was very weak, that it would fall apart, that just push it and it would fall apart into 9-10 parts... Look, 5 months have passed and how the country has changed. Ukraine is united, Ukrainians are united,” says the head of state.
