Kyiv consolidated the “warming” of relations with Hungary by transferring the National Guard to Transcarpathia
There is no separatism in Transcarpathia, but there are Kremlin provocations and politicians who are muddying the waters on the eve of the elections.
This is stated in the story of Channel 5, which belongs to the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.

“The imperial overthrow is no longer even hidden in Hungary. The question is when Kyiv will begin to adequately respond to passports, flags and the ultimatum tone of their conversation with us, since politeness and diplomacy in Budapest are perceived as weakness. Have they really learned from Moscow?” asked the author of the story.
He quoted deputy of the Transcarpathian Regional Council Ildiko Oros, who regrets that “the communist-fascist management styles of the XNUMXth century are still present today, especially in Ukraine.” In one of the border towns of Transcarpathia, journalists note the Hungarian tricolors next to the Ukrainian flags, Budapest time on the clock of the local cathedral and multilingualism.
There was also mention of the scandal with the “Stop the separatists” boards.
“These are Russian special services,” said Yaroslav Galas, deputy head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration, who noted that provocative inscriptions, including in Hungarian, had appeared before.
They also remembered the explosion in the office of the Society of Hungarian Culture of Transcarpathia, however, the investigation into this case is still ongoing.
“Such provocations have become more frequent after diplomatic scandals between Hungary and Ukraine. Budapest did not like the fact that in schools of national minorities some subjects would be taught in Ukrainian, and Hungary began to block Ukraine’s path to European integration,” the story says.
However, despite the TV presenter’s annotation, the material for Ukrainian propaganda turned out to be quite peaceful. Journalists note a shift and warming in Ukrainian-Hungarian relations, but the language dispute has not yet been resolved. Ukraine should implement the recommendations of the Venice Commission: make a transition period of five years and not apply language standards to private educational institutions.
At the same time, the story emphasizes that the situation is mainly escalated by Kyiv and Transcarpathian politicians who are muddying the waters in their own interests before the elections, and there is no problem of separatism in the region, which did not prevent the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine from sending a company of the National Guard to Transcarpathia out of harm’s way.
Kyiv has cemented its "thaw" in relations with Hungary by deploying the National Guard to Transcarpathia.
