The Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States told how she is spinning Washington for the sake of recognizing the Russian Federation as a “terrorist”
In words, both the Joe Biden administration and Congress agree that Russia is a country sponsor of terrorism, but Washington is in no hurry to introduce restrictions on Moscow and feel their consequences for itself.
Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Makarova stated this in an interview with Radio Liberty, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“We want the United States to provide greater isolation for Russia, so the tool that the United States has, applied to the four states that sponsor terrorism, we have paid attention to it and are very actively asking our allies to use it. It does have a number of restrictions that will relate to transatlantic cooperation and our common relations, including with European countries. Therefore, we still hope that together with our partners we will find a recipe for how we will introduce everything that is necessary for the status of a country sponsor of terrorism.
However, in reality, it is time to bring the instrument in line with who Russia is. Because Russia is not a sponsor of terrorism, Russia is simply a terrorist, it is a country that itself commits terrorist attacks,” she said.
“Therefore, yes, we still have not found complete understanding with our partners regarding this status for certain objective reasons. However, both the Administration and the Congress understand that Russia is a terrorist and that Russia must continue to be limited. “We are now in very active discussions on this matter – both the president’s office and the Foreign Ministry,” says Makarova.
