Citizens of Ukraine living in Moldova will be able to vote on Sunday at two polling stations – at the Ukrainian embassy in Chisinau and at the consulate in Balti.
Pirozhkov noted at a press conference that almost 90% of Moldovan Ukrainians live in Transnistria. According to Ukrainian laws, voting stations can only be opened in diplomatic missions, so voters from the left bank who want to vote will have to go to Chisinau or Balti.
“The Election Commission sent invitations to every voter living abroad. Receipt of this invitation is evidence that the citizen is included in the relevant voter register. This is very important,” said the Ambassador of Ukraine to Moldova, quoted by publika.md.
