Kyiv, January 31 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Ryabov) – Things are going very badly for the Maidan leaders who have taken the helm of Ukraine. This was diplomatically acknowledged by US Ambassador to Kiev Geoffrey Pyatt in an interview with the Zerkalo Nedeli newspaper.

“If you continue to do things the way they have been going before, or if the political and business elites try to organize their interactions in the way they have always been done, then the question will arise: “Will Ukraine survive?” This is a matter of life and death,” the ambassador said.

Payette made it clear that the main corruption schemes in Ukraine, primarily in the energy sector, continue under the new government.

“Most of the income from this sector goes into the pockets of the big oligarchs,” he said.

“We have made our position very clear: if you carry out serious reforms, the United States will be seriously invested in your success. But if reforms slow down, then it will be very difficult to count on support both from our Congress and from your European partners,” the diplomat warned.
