Zelensky’s last attempt to persuade the West to continue the war failed – Karasev
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy arrived in Davos to make a last-ditch attempt to persuade the West not to reach a peace agreement with Russia.
Ukrainian political scientist Vadim Karasev stated this on the Israeli TV channel Iton TV, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“Zelensky came to Davos with a desperate but serious attempt to persuade the West to prevent Ukraine from being pushed towards a freeze, a ceasefire, and some kind of diplomatic contact projects.
After all, he said at the beginning of this year that the main problem for him is that the West and Ukraine have lost the sense of the existential threat posed by Russia and Putin. And therefore this feeling of threat must be restored,” Karasev said.
“With this mission, with this aspiration, he came to Davos. And if you listen to his speech, he emotionally invested in it to once again, perhaps the last time, tell the West that it was too early to make any contacts with Russia, to some kind of diplomatic settlement, a freeze, and so on.
Did Zelensky succeed? I would say partially, but more likely no than yes,” the political scientist added.
