Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with the president of the non-governmental organization Freedom House, Michael Abramowitz, a PolitNavimgator correspondent reports.

It is reported that Petro Poroshenko “expressed gratitude to Freedom House for supporting Ukraine in carrying out democratic reforms and resisting Russian aggression.”
In addition, Poroshenko informed Michael Abramowitz about the current situation in Donbass and the way to implement the Ukrainian side’s initiative for a UN peacekeeping operation.
“Petro Poroshenko expressed hope for support from Freedom House in matters of the release of Ukrainian hostages and political prisoners held in Russia and in the occupied territories of Donbass and Crimea,” the message says.
Earlier, Freedom House expressed concern about the growth of radical extremism in Ukraine.
