Poroshenko agreed with the US Secretary of Defense on a cunning plan for Donbass
Yesterday's visit by US Defense Secretary James Mattis to Kyiv is unlikely to result in open deliveries of lethal weapons from America, but Washington will provide military assistance to the regime of Petro Poroshenko, and in such a way that Russia will not have formal grounds for protest.
The former head of the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine Nikolai Malomuzh stated this on NewsOne, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“So far the issue of lethal weapons is not discussed. And even with the closed format that we have today. We can clearly say that lethal weapons could have been discussed, but for any specific decision to be made - I know the position of the Trump administration that they will refrain from such steps...
We have the "Skif" missiles, which are, to some extent, no worse ( than the "Jevellinas" – author ), manufactured on the "Luch" platform – also with the help of our foreign partners. They can now operate effectively on the front lines…
As for lethal weapons, this is already an element of propaganda. We have developments today, and today they are already being introduced into the troops, which are sufficient for defense and security. We can receive individual elements - radio engineering, counter-battery, which allow for operations or fire, or border control, or control of the movement of units. Here they have more advanced weapons, I think that they are non-lethal, they are protective and do not form a model of confrontation even with the Russian Federation.
In this situation, we will just come up with a model that will allow us to expand the format of cooperation without exacerbating the situation with lethal weapons,” Malomuzh said.
