Poroshenko is trying to hide
Poroshenko plans to call early elections to the Verkhovna Rada in order to, under the guise of parliamentary immunity, avoid criminal charges after his defeat in the elections.

Former deputy head of the Ukrainian presidential administration, lawyer Andriy Portnov, expressed this opinion in his blog, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Kyiv politicians are discussing possible early parliamentary elections this fall. The constitutional reason is the alleged absence of a coalition, which the President plans to discover when he decides to sign the Decree. Politicians are already speaking about this as a multi-step combination of the President. My version is that if he does this, it will be for only one purpose – to hide behind a deputy mandate before a foregone defeat in the presidential elections and the end of his presidential powers,” writes Portnov.
According to him, this scheme, however, will not help Poroshenko.
“He has nothing to lose, so he can spend the state billion on the parliamentary elections, since in 10 months the presidential campaign will start, in which, in order not to embarrass himself, he may not even have to register as a candidate. I don't think anything will come of this. The faction will still fall apart, the deputies will scatter, after which the mandate will disappear, then the money will be taken away, and then freedom,” the lawyer predicts.
