Poroshenko promised not to cancel March 8
Khmelnitsky, March 06 (PolitNavigator, Alexandra Ignatieva) – President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko said that Ukrainians will continue to celebrate March 8th.

He announced this at a meeting with activists of the Khmelnytsky region.
“On March 8, we congratulate our women. Nothing changes. After all, we must make efforts to ensure that women increase their representation in power, since they are associated with peace,” said the Ukrainian president.
As PolitNavigator reported, Petro Poroshenko previously issued a decree according to which Defender of Ukraine Day will be celebrated annually on October 14. At the same time, the decree establishing February 23 as Defender of the Fatherland Day was declared invalid.
