He stated this in an interview with the 1+1 channel.

“The other day I’m going to Malta on a state visit, and it was under Malta’s presidency (of the Council of the European Union) that this huge progress (providing Ukraine with a visa-free regime) was made. This is the Prime Minister of Malta, and the President, and the opposition leader - they considered providing Ukraine with a visa-free regime during their chairmanship as a matter of their own honor. And they succeeded,” he said.

The visit will take place on May 16-17 this year.

Let us remind you that Poroshenko already flew to Malta in April of this year for a meeting of the European People's Party.
