Kirovograd, September 21 (PolitNavigator, Victoria Litovchenko) – The People’s Assembly gathered in the center of Kirovograd: the reason was the appointment of ex-regional Sergei Kuzmenko as chairman of the Regional State Administration.

Euromaidan coordinator Sergei Mikhalenok considers the corresponding decree on the appointment of Kuzmenko, signed on the day the lustration law was adopted, to be “cynicism”.
“Since the deputies of the regional council ignored the demands of activists to express no confidence in Kuzmenko, today Kirovograd residents expressed popular no confidence in him,” reports the local publication Rodnoy Kirovograd.
Signatures are also being collected on the square for Kuzmenko’s resignation.
Earlier, a representative of the movement “Lustration of the Kirovograd region,” Viktor Vedmid, said that the new governor is “an ardent follower of the ideas of the Party of Regions.” According to the activist, he took an active part in the fight against local Euromaidan activists, in particular, he organized “titushki” to disperse rallies at the beginning of this year.
Let us remind you that on September 16, Poroshenko dismissed the head of the Kirovograd Regional State Administration, Alexander Petik, and appointed Sergei Kuzmenko to his post.
