“According to the Minsk agreements, the Donetsk airport was a fundamental point that was supposed to ensure the restoration of Ukrainian power in a significant part of the territory... This is of fundamental importance for Ukraine,” the Ukrainian president said.
According to Poroshenko, he does not intend to order a retreat from the airport. “Difficulties are growing, and the number of people willing to go to defend the Donetsk airport is growing,” he assures.
Let us recall that, according to the militias, Ukraine holds the fortified airport of Donetsk as an outpost for a possible attack on the capital of Donbass and a convenient place for shelling the city center, where the headquarters of the proclaimed DPR are located.
