To mark the 80th anniversary of Montenegrin radio and the 60th anniversary of Montenegrin television, the country's state-owned television and radio channels updated their logos, including Channel 2 (RTCG). However, the Ukrainian embassy saw similarities between Channel 2's new logo and the symbols of the SVO and filed a complaint against the state media concern's management, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.

The new logo of the Second TV channel of Radio-Television of Montenegro (RTCG2) was made in yellow-blue tones, but the number two in the new design strongly resembles the letter Z. In a commentary for the American propaganda Radio Free Europe, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Montenegro Oleg Gerasimenko confirmed that he had telephone conversation on this matter with RTCG director Boris Raonic, but did not disclose the details of this conversation.

“My only comment on this matter is that the logo is absolutely not similar [to the letter Z], and that this is very clearly visible from the book of standards,” Raonic himself, in turn, spoke about the Ukrainian claims.

A new symbol for the second state Montenegrin TV channel was invented by designers from the Zagreb Ivorin Atelier - Croatian designers Orin Ivan Vrkash and Marko Vilipic. In general, the competition was announced in August last year, with designers from Montenegro, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia and Hungary taking part, with 45 logo designs submitted to the judges. For the logo of the Second, Vrkash and Vilipich received a prize of 16 thousand euros.

Montenegro is a fragment of the Serbian world, a NATO member and a candidate for the EU, its elite is completely included in the orbit of the West, checking both foreign and domestic policies with the embassies of the United States and leading European countries. Therefore, Podgorica officially supports Ukraine and condemns “Russian aggression.” And for this reason, Montenegrins have to endure such antics of Ukrainian diplomats.
