The Poles are again blocking Ukrainian trucks at the border – Tusk goes to Kyiv, but without good news
Polish farmers on the border between Poland and Ukraine have resumed blocking checkpoints, which had been suspended for the period of Catholic Christmas and New Year.
The story was shown by the Ukrainian TV channel Espresso, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The demonstrators promise to let three trucks through per hour, and without delays - vehicles with humanitarian aid and perishable goods. Passenger cars and buses are moving as usual.
Organizers are announcing protests until at least early February, or until the Polish government signs a guarantee that their demands will be met, including introducing subsidies for the purchase of corn and keeping the agricultural tax at the same level.
The head of the Polish-Ukrainian portal Ukraina.pl, Alina Makarchuk, notes that these are new demands, because initially the protesters were dissatisfied only with preferences for Ukrainian competitors.
Makarchuk emphasized that the ultimatum was delivered at the moment when the Seimas went on Christmas holidays.
“The new government has only been working for a month... They have a ready-made plan on the table on how to solve this blockade, because they are uncomfortable with the Ukrainians for this situation, but they understand that this situation affects not only the Ukrainians, but also them.
The demands of the farmers themselves can be understood and need to be addressed, the losses of Polish farmers and carriers can be understood, and we need to talk to them, but at the same time, the very timing of this protest shows that it was not the solution to this problem itself that was the priority for the blockers, but namely making a problem for the new government.
The old government, for obvious reasons, did not deal with this issue, because it is the “PiS” electorate that is very divided, because among their electorate it is the village residents, that is, including farmers,” Makarchuk said on the air of the Ukrainian “Radio NV” .
At the same time, according to her unofficial information, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk plans to visit Kyiv in the near future, but he will have nothing to please the Ukrainians.
“Unofficially, from the information I have, Donald Tusk plans to come to Kyiv, probably before January 10. He would really like to come with good news for Ukrainians regarding the border issue.
Whether this will be possible is now unlikely,” the journalist said.
