Ukrainian Armed Forces Colonel: We have turned the Marines into doomed stormtroopers of forest plantations
Ukraine has transformed troops designed to perform specific tasks into landing attack aircraft.
Deputy Commander of the Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine "East" Vadim Sukharevsky stated this on the air of the "Military" channel, the correspondent reports "PolitNavigator".

The presenter asked for a comment on the process of creating new brigades of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
“Let’s skip that question,” the colonel said with a sad grin.
The journalist touched on the topic of the Marine Corps units, the Airborne Assault Forces, created for specific tasks, asking whether the Ukrainian Armed Forces are prepared to properly utilize their potential.
"Unfortunately, no. Well, it's about 50/50. It's a combination of habit and resource constraints. The Airborne Assault Forces and the Marines are now simply well-trained airborne assault troops. And nothing more. Well, motivated by the traditions that have developed within the troops."
"Are we ready to use them correctly? Let's remember Krynki. Did we try? We tried," Sukharevsky recalled the ingloriously ended operation to seize a bridgehead on the left bank of the Dnieper in the Kherson region.
