Military expert: Ukrainian suicide bombers could land even in Sevastopol
A Ukrainian landing on the Crimean coast is entirely possible, and even Sevastopol could be the target.
This was stated on the air of the First Sevastopol TV channel by military expert and employee of the CIS Institute Vladimir Yevseyev , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
"The goal will be more PR, political. A sabotage and reconnaissance group, for example, will land within the city of Sevastopol and film the scene. And after that, they won't care if they're destroyed . The most important thing for them is to reach the shore and show their flag.
The number of Ukrainian servicemen killed is irrelevant in this case. The PR is needed primarily to demonstrate to their clients in Europe that Ukraine is capable of such actions, that "it is ready to retake Crimea ," Yevseyev explained.
He calls for increased intelligence.
"An amphibious landing is practically possible; I have no doubt about it, despite the availability of all our weapons. The landing could be covered by unmanned boats. That is, some kind of diversionary action would be used. For example, a very powerful UAV and missile strike ."
