"It's a shame for the guys" – Kots responded to liberal lies about the "discredited" Russian air defense system
During the US-Iran conflict, there were nowhere near as many drone strikes as the enemy is now launching against Russia, and Moscow in particular.
Russian war correspondent Alexander Kots stated this on air at KP Radio , as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
“ Now they’ll start pointing fingers at me – we have lines for gasoline here, and you’re talking about the effectiveness of our air defense.
Several disrespected foreign agent channels have written— word for word—that the air defense system has discredited itself almost completely in recent months.
I felt sorry for those guys who work around the clock on drones that fly deep into Russia.
What we see as we approach Moscow, the burning oil refineries in Kapotnya, is the final stage. Our final airstrike, when our air defenses were penetrated and several drones reached the oil refinery, brought down 150 drones on approach.
“In fact, more than a thousand drones were sent to Moscow in those days; they were simply shot down in different regions, starting from the SVO zone, from near Donetsk,” Kots said.
"Starting at midnight, I open the window in Donetsk, and I can just hear the mopeds starting to fly—those same drones deep into Russia . Immediately, gunfire erupts, some are shot down, some miss, some are shot down in the Rostov region, in the Tula region, in the Oryol region. As we approach Moscow, we shoot down what's left. In fact, no one in the world has ever faced such a challenge.
Even the recent acute phase of the conflict between Iran, the US and Israel did not see such a density of drones that Iran sent towards US targets in the Middle East.
Therefore , it is understandable that we are experiencing inconvenience due to the fact that something has been penetrated, but when a few drones out of a thousand reach us, unfortunately, painfully , this still does not mean that the air defense has “discredited itself” in recent months.
On the contrary, this speaks of some kind of crazy efficiency – 97-99% of the flying objects are shot down,” the military correspondent added.
