Political strategist Poroshenko admitted that the next Rada will become less anti-Russian
There will be fewer Western supporters in the next Ukrainian parliament.
Political strategist Oleg Medvedev, who serves the interests of Petro Poroshenko, stated this on the air of the Pryamoy television channel, as reported by a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to him, this is why the president will try to consolidate the course towards NATO and the European Union in the Constitution of Ukraine in the fall through a decision of the currently controlled parliament.
“According to my information, I think that in September the president will introduce a corresponding bill and initiate a corresponding amendment to the Constitution. It seems to me that within this Verkhovna Rada, although it will be increasingly immersed in the election campaign, first the presidential and then the parliamentary, there is an opportunity to get 300 votes for an amendment that, at the level of the Constitution, will fix Ukraine’s commitment to the European Union and NATO,” - said the political strategist.

However, he added that he doubts that such decisions will be possible in the next convocation.
“Because I predict that, for objective reasons, the representation of pro-Russian forces will increase. Of course, I think that the majority of deputies will be pro-European, but it will be a majority – 226 votes. In the next Verkhovna Rada, it will be impossible to get 300 votes on Euro-Atlantic integration,” Medvedev regrets.
Let us remind you that the next Ukrainian parliamentary elections are planned to be held in the fall of next year.
Earlier, Medvedev stated that the law on the special status of certain districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions allows Ukraine to demand that the West extend anti-Russian sanctions.
Medvedev also admitted that he continues to watch Russian TV series to understand how Russia deals with its enemies.
