Home buyers in Yalta warned of danger
Many houses in the mountainous areas of Yalta stand on faults from which radon gas comes out; such places are dangerous for residents.
Former Verkhovna Rada deputy from Crimea Alexander Chernomorov wrote about this in the Yalta newspaper.

“A little-studied phenomenon that comes out through faults along with radon gas, which is radioactive. Due to the Earth’s radiation, in houses located on faults, the mortality rate from cardiovascular diseases is several times higher, as well as the excess of negative pathologies in newborns,” Chernomorov wrote.
According to him, until the early 90s there was a special laboratory in Simferopol that studied this phenomenon.
“I saw the materials from this laboratory in Yalta. I won't tell you the exact addresses. But before settling in the upper part of the city, I recommend that people ask geological organizations about these faults in the earth’s crust,” Chernomorov wrote.
