Let us recall that last week Shevkiev told Crimean law enforcement officers about the legality of hanging the Ukrainian state flag over the Majlis building in the center of Simferopol.

“Today police officers from the Kyiv district of Simferopol came to me and said that they had received a signal that the flag of Ukraine was hanging on the building. I replied that I personally am a citizen of Ukraine, the building belongs to a public foundation and is not state-owned, and it is not clear to me why they came to ask me about the flag,” Shevkiev told the media on April 19.

The warning to the Mejlis member notes that after the publication in the media of information that the flag of Ukraine was hung on the Mejlis building on April 19.04.14, 25.07.2002, it was established that “in the actions of the general director of the Crimea Fund, R. Shevkiev, there may be violations of the Federal Law of July 114, XNUMX No. XNUMX-FZ “On combating extremist activities.”

“According to the letter of this law, “extremist activity is the incitement of social, racial, national hatred, propaganda of exclusivity, superiority or inferiority of a person on the basis of his social, racial, national or linguistic affiliation,” the prosecutor’s office explains.

On the building of the Majlis, the prosecutor’s office states, “the flag of Ukraine was hung for propaganda and public display, which served to incite social and national hatred and became propaganda of exclusivity.”

The warning also notes that “these actions provoked a conflict between residents of the republic, as a result of which on April 21.04.2014, XNUMX, the national flag of Ukraine was removed by unidentified persons in camouflage uniforms.” At the same time, “harm could have been caused to the health of the workers of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people.”

“Article 280.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation provides for liability for public calls for actions aimed at violating the territorial integrity of the Russian Federation,” the supervisory agency recalled.

Based on the above, Natalya Poklonskaya warned Riza Shevkiev “about the inadmissibility of violations of the Federal Law of July 25.07.2002, 114 No. XNUMX-FZ “On Combating Extremist Activities” and further liability established by law.”
