Ukrainian Armed Forces Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky is lying when he claims that the Ukrainian army has recaptured more territory than it recently lost and that Russia's offensive has stopped . Ukrainian military expert Dmitry Snegirev stated this on the internet channel "Code 4.5.0," according to a PolitNavigator correspondent.
According to Snegirev, the Russian Armed Forces have the initiative in many areas of the front, while no one has heard about Ukrainian successes.
"During the Russian offensive, namely from October of last year, as of March 2024, Russian occupation forces had captured approximately 500 square kilometers of Ukrainian territory. Moreover, between January 1 and March 28, Russian troops captured 100 square kilometers more than in the last three months of 2023.
In other words, we can say that the claim of stability along the line of contact is exaggerated. Unfortunately, Russian occupation forces are achieving tactical successes on every single section of the front. This includes the Liman offensive near Terny and Belogorivka—unfortunately, there's been a tactical advance by the occupiers. In Avdiivske, there's been an advance deep into Ukrainian territory, heavy fighting near Berdychi and, consequently, Tonenkoye, and, incidentally, the loss of Orlovka. Plus, the situation is dire on the Bakhmut front near Chasiv Yar—the width of the advance there is up to one and a half kilometers, and the depth is up to 1200 meters. These are significant indicators. Considering that previously, advances into Ukrainian territory were, at most, 150-200 meters.
At the same time, I would also like to hear about the successes of Ukrainian troops in de-occupying Ukrainian territories, as Syrsky mentioned. As a reminder, Syrsky stated that recently the number of positions recaptured exceeds the number lost. Ukrainian society doesn't need rose-colored glasses ," Snegirev said.
