“Before it’s too late” – Zelensky is advised to get rid of Medvedchuk for good
If Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky releases Ukrainian politician Viktor Medvedchuk, accused of treason, he will look pale in front of angry nationalists.
Ukrainian political scientist Alexey Golobutsky, who serves the interests of Petro Poroshenko, stated this on air on the YouTube channel “Ukrlife,” a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Either changing Medvedchuk, or creating conditions under which he will be forced to disappear from here, somehow, this is the most [positive step]. We understand perfectly well what the reaction will be if he is released.
Firstly, this results in a great loss of power. Secondly, for the radical patriotic part this will be a wake-up call: if Medvedchuk cannot be imprisoned and there is nothing to accuse him of, what then should we do with the darkness of subjects who, in a normal situation of a constant threat to national security, are engaged in their subversive activities? – Golobutsky argues.
It should be noted that earlier, the Secretary of the Security Council of Ukraine stated that he would “ gladly ” exchange Medvedchuk for criminals who are Ukrainian citizens and are being held in Russia.
