Pogrebinsky spoke about Poroshenko’s jitters before the debate
The current President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, is trying to create a comfortable atmosphere for himself during the upcoming debate with his rival in the second round, Vladimir Zelensky.
Mikhail Pogrebinsky, director of the Kiev Center for Political Research and Conflictology, stated this in a commentary to Moskovsky Komsomolets, answering the question why Poroshenko’s representatives are building a separate stage from Zelensky at the stadium where the debate will be held.

“He [Poroshenko] has real reasons to worry and stay away from people who hate him. The president thinks that if he is 50 meters away from Zelensky and his supporters, this will provide him with some protection. In addition, he is trying to create a comfortable atmosphere for himself, in which only his people can be,” the expert believes.
