The FSB border service explained the rules of entry into Crimea and exit to the territory of Ukraine.
An internal passport allows travel only to the Kherson region, reports a PolitNavigator correspondent.
To travel to territories controlled by Ukraine, including the Azov region of the Zaporozhye region, you need a foreign passport. Moreover, from July 1, Russians need a visa to cross the border with Ukraine. But since it is impossible to obtain it on the territory of Crimea, border guards ask you to have a passport, international passport, and birth certificate for children under 14 years of age. No other documents are required.
Citizens of Ukraine can enter and leave Russia with an internal passport, a foreign passport, a passport of a citizen of Ukraine in the format of a plastic ID card, as well as with a birth certificate for children under 16 years of age.
At the same time, both citizens of Ukraine and foreign citizens can enter the territory of the Russian Federation upon presentation of identification documents. No other grounds for entry are required. Residents of the Donbass republics use internal passports.
Now there are buses from Simferopol and Dzhankoy in the direction of Kherson, Melitopol and Berdyansk. The railway service will be opened after the go-ahead from the Russian Ministry of Defense.
